J Michael Development was founded with a single mission: to guide our clients to achieving successful development and construction projects. We approach each of our client's projects with fresh eyes to develop customized, unique strategies for their project.

Our principal, Jay Ohanesian, has over 25 years of construction & development experience; specializing in the office and industrial market sectors. He has constructed over 11 million sf of tilt wall buildings in various markets across the country in his career.   He is skilled in Entitlements, Site Planning, Design Management, Construction Management, and Sustainable Construction. 

Previous to starting J Michael Development, Jay had successful tenures at Prologis and Liberty Property Trust in the role of Vice President, Construction & Development.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.   Jay is a LEED accredited professional, a Green Advantage Certified Practitioner, and holds General Contractor Licenses in Florida and North Carolina.
